You don't need to bother listing every gas station and Qwik-E-Mart in northern California, but if you know of a place that's noteworthy you can share it with the class here.

• Cupertino Farmers Market - Friday 9 AM to 1 PM in Cupertino Square, where Wolfe Road meets 280
• Mountain View Farmers Market - Sunday 9 AM to 1 PM at the Mountain View Caltrain station; LOTS of really excellent local food! Closer than the grocery store! (Mountain View)
• Red Rock Coffee - 201 Castro Street, Mountain View (Castro St and Villa St)
• Safeway just south of Shoreline and Middlefield (closest grocery?)
• Trader Joes! - It's fairly natural really yummy cheap food. The plaza with TJ's also has Target and Wal-Mart for all your low-price needs. It's a great place to take a trip with multiple interns and meet back at the car in an hour or two.
• Target/Walmart - Conveniently located right by Trader Joe's. Not "Super Centers". Just regular kinds.

Hate public transportation? Walk out of Moffet (main gate), walk over 101. Once you reach the SECOND intersection (after the freeway), turn left into that trianglie-shaped street (there should be a small gas station there) and walk down that street. There is a small italian restaurant, a dry-cleaning shop, and a Mexican restaurant/market.
