Inside ARC/Moffett Field

Most of the items on this list are buildings or other physical places.  Please list clubs on the "Clubs" page (it's on the list, below).

• Airship Ventures - home of Eureka, the only Zeppelin in America, and it flies out of Moffett Field
• Ames Health Unit - emergency care on-site at ARC
• ARC Park - tables, grills, grass, the usual
• The Astrogram - the monthly newsletter for Ames; not a place, but a good source of news about places here
• Ballfields - base, basket, raquet, soft, and volley, scattered around ARC/Moffett Field
• Boardwalk - grills, tables, and a roof, hidden behind Lodge buildings 583A and 583B
• Clubs - organizations that already exist for knitting, amateur radio, RC aircraft, etc.
• Fitness Center - exercise equipment, classes, occasional runs, and all that; but first, you need to file a Medical Clearance Form and a Consent Form
• Golf Club at Moffett Field - Yes, you can golf here, too.  The course is called Golf Club at Moffett Field; the club house is Tee Minus One Golf Club.
• Hangar One - the big honkin' building with the rounded ends that looks like you could fit a dirigible inside (you could)
• Laundry - wash your clothes for free, but watch out for zombies
• Lawn Sports - not a place, but a list of things you can do with some open space and a few friends; hopefully it will eventually include places to beg, borrow, steal, and/or rent any necessary equipment
• Lodge - some information for those of you who haven't yet arrived
• Mega Bites Cafe - breakfast and lunch
• Mobile Food Truck - aka the Korean BBQ, it's breakfast and lunch on wheels, and currently the only place to buy food on ARC/Moffett Field on Saturdays
• Moffett Field Museum - the history of Moffett Field, starring planes and balloons
• Moffett Field Post Office - a real live US Post Office right here on Moffett Field
• NASA Ames Exchange - a few words about the organization that operates many of the other items in this section
• NASA Exchange Lodge Kitchens - stoves, pots, pans, sinks, and all that (2nd floor, Bldgs 583A and 583B)
• Shenandoah Plaza - that big expanse of grass running north and south between the main gateand Bldg 17; good for lawn sports, working on your tan, etc.
• Swim Center - a pool, with water and everything
• Technical Library - books and periodicals on space and things space-related, in the basement of Bldg 202
• Tickets Etc. - discounted tickets for everything from movies to Disney to LegoLand
• Tours - places to get tours of at Ames
• vending machines - a comprehensive list of every place on ARC to obtain sugar, caffeine, partially hydrogenated vegetable oil, and FDA yellow dye #3
