Ames Ballroom Dance Club

Description: Free Latin Ballroom Technique classes. The focus is on the individual development of correct Latin ballroom technique. Classes are taught by Ames' own competitive dancer Mike MicIntyre.

Ames Model Aircraft Club

Description: Build, fly, and occasionally repair model aircraft.  AMAC operates on the grounds of NASA ARC.  Members fly from a two lane road in the northwest corner of ARC.  Pilots must have AMA insurance, and must be US citizens (or have appropriate badges) to access the base.

Bolero Dance Lessons

Description: Learn to dance the most popular music played at dence venues.  Learn Bolero basics or add some great new patterns to your repertoire with Bay Area lagend Steve Rebello.  Five lessons per night.

Home Brew Robotics Club

Description: Build an army of giant atomic robots and try to take over the world!  Muah-ha-ha-ha-ha!  Well, OK, maybe not, but at the very least you can build a cute robot that might charm your neighbors.  No kidding, around here having a robot will get you dates.

NASA Ames Research Center Amateur Radio Club (AARC)

Description: Provides services, technologies, people, skills, equipment, opportunities, and resources to those interested in, or desiring to benefit from, radio based communications technologies for educational, public service, emergency, communications, and recreational purposes.  Projects include ISS shortwave communication, amateur radio and television transmissions, and amateur radio astronomy.

Description: A forum for all NASA Ames employees interested in the art and sport of sailing. Includes a radio-controlled model sailing group. The club frequently sails out of the Spinnaker Sailing Club/Sequoia Yacht Club Redwood City (541 Seaport Court, Redwood City, CA, 94063, 650-353-1390).
